The 1988 IROC

She's a beauty! This car was originally a L98 350 with an automatic. The L98 put out 230hp and 330ft/lb of torque and was the most powerful engine in 1988. Unfortunately the drivetrain is long gone, having been stripped out by a previous owner. The shell has absolutely no rot and only a little surface rust. The important places, like the front floors and rear quarters are solid and clean. The plan is to use everything from the 86 on this car; the drivetrain (unless a better one comes along), interior, and nose.

The body is just a shell. There is no drivetrain, rearend or interior, just the sheetmetal.

The front structure and the engine bay have already been blasted and painted. There's really not much more to do there.

There's no dash or steering column, but there is a rollbar! Not sure if we'll keep it yet. It won't pass any tech inspections, but it does look cool!

Nothing but some surface rust on the underside of the floors.

This car is super straight and clean in the front. Unlike the 86, it's never been hit in the front.
