Third Gen Restoration - The Rear End
| The rear end is a 9-bolt that was pulled from an 88 Trans-Am. |
 The temporary rear end is removed to make way for the recently acquired 9-bolt 3.27 posi disc rear. |
 The cleanup begins on the new rear end. |
 Brake assemblies are complete and the rotors look like they just need turning. |
 Parts are marked before dis-assembly. This rear is from an 1988 Firebird, so it has the cast calipers rather than the PBR's. |
 The original tags are still there. |
 Wearing a base coat of spray bomb Rustoleum Rust Reformer. |
 Hub and brake mounts are sprayed with Cast Gray. |
 The rest of the rear is painted with Semi-Gloss black high temperature paint. |
 The calipers are painted with red high temperature brake caliper paint. |
 The anodized parts are painted with brass color paint and then dusted with silver. |
